I would like to wish you triumph in your struggle over the wind turbine developers. These greedy industrialists have no interest at all in climate change. Their only object is making money from the stupidity of our governments. I wish I could be with you to show my support but unfortunately Wales is a long way from Paris. Bon Chance.

Mesdames et Messieurs !!
My family and myself, who operate a tourist attraction called Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, in Cardigan ,West Wales, UK [Pays de Galles], wholeheartedly support the brave French demonstrators who will be fighting against the crazy desecration of the beauty of La Belle France on October 4th 2008 !!!
Wind energy will solve NOTHING, simply because the wind disappears on a regular basis, as proved by British wind speeds on www.metoffice.com/education/archive/uk. Check these wind speeds and note HOW FREQUENTLY they drop!! You cannot switch back-up power stations on and off every few hours at short notice!!
The wind speed situation in France is no better than the UK, so WHY build wind farms? Since the wind is not there 24/7, it means that NOT ONE fossil fuel or nuclear power station can be closed!! WHEN WILL EUROPEAN POLITICIANS FACE THAT MOST OBVIOUS OF FACTS ???
We, in Wales, back the French fighters 100 PER CENT!!
STOP THE RUINATION OF EUROPE AND ITS SUPERB SCENERY WITH THIS IDIOTIC CONCEPT OF WIND ENERGY!!!
NO !!! NA !! NON !!! TO WIND ENERGY!!!

In our view the wind industry can't deliver on its promises, will not reduce global CO2 emissions, will not provide a reliable source of energy. It will however make huge sums for a few whilst wrecking what little countryside we still have and in the process will damage the lives of millions of people. RA members in North Wales wish you well with the demonstration and conference and hope the authorities are provoked into listening to the people. We live in a global society - what happens in France could have important repercussions in Britain. Good luck.

Bonne Chance, mes amis! A bas avec les moulins de vent. En Pays de Galles, nous avons beaucoup de problems. Je peux voir de chez moi 25 moulins inutiles a l’autre cote de la vallee.
Ensemble, nous sommes forts.
Bonne chance!!

We are being asked to sell our birthright by international companies interested only in filling their coffers and who care nothing for our landscapes. I wish I could be with you to add to the thousands of people who are supporting you and fighting against the evil which is spreading throughout our lands.
