Encouragements des Pays-Bas

Dear Friends.

From Holland I wish You a great demonstration, it is very pity to see that You do not get any support from the Dutch Organisation, too much NIMBY's I suppose.

When I was chairman of the NKPW we made a big step forward in internationalisation the movement against turbines, I still remember the Koreaan congres in 2006 with among others
Prince Ferdinand de Hohenlohe-Bartenstein and our Scandinavian friends.

La guerre can only be won when all countries work together.

But as I am no longer the chairman of the dutch organisation I cannot represent all the dutch groups, allthough I know that they all stand behind You.

I hope You get the international publicity your demonstration deserves to preserve the room for living, the beautifull landscapes and animals.

It is great to see so many people fighting for our world.

La guère contre les éoliennes industriel est une guère mondial.
Avec des salutants cordiales

Jim Mollet

Dear friends,

Reading your page I wondered about the missing Netherlands support on the Blog. From Groningen, up north in the Netherlands near the German border, we are fighting turbines for years now. They grow like mushrooms on both sides of the border and ruined the whole countryside already. We keep fighting but it look likes an endless struggle. We first would gratulate you with the initiative and wish you a lot of succes on 4 october. There is a solid antiwind organisation, and as I am well informed, the chairman will join you the 4th.

From our group, Stichting Windhoek, we are not able to join you this day but give you all credits. We wish you a succesfull day and have hope that Brussel will react in a possitive way.

Good luck and best wishes,

Hiltje Zwarberg
chairman Stichting Windhoek

Manifestation contre les éoliennes

Dear companions,

The Netherlands Critical Platform Wind energy (NKPW) strongly supports the manifestation in Paris on 4th October against the expansive wind energy plans. Like a modern version of the Emperors's new clothes, wind energy has no potential as a useful replacement for fossil fuel, nor does it noticeably contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emission. Wind energy, therefore, does not justify all the disadvantages that are indissolubly connected to it, like the underestimated noise problems, the devastation of the open landscapes, and the reduction of the house prices. NKPW represents 110 groups in the Netherlands, uniting about 10.000 opponents against the use of large-scale wind energy, particularly on land. Presently, 70% of the wind energy plans in the Netherlands (up to 4000 MW on land) strands due to a growing opposition.

Fred Jansen and Brigitte Bloem, charmain and secretary respectively of the NKPW.
